Edition 2025 — Passion of Christ in Cefalù

In 2025, the Sacred Representation of the Passion of Christ once again animated the historic center of Cefalù on the Saturday before Palm Sunday, according to established tradition. In Piazza Duomo, at the foot of the Cathedral Basilica, about two hundred performers and actors from the Centro di Cultura Polis Kephaloidion staged the final days of Jesus, from his entry into Jerusalem to the Crucifixion and Resurrection.

The 2025 edition of the Passion of Christ took place in Cefalù according to its usual place in the liturgical calendar, on the Saturday evening leading into Holy Week, starting at 7:00 PM in Piazza Duomo.

The itinerant show, curated by the Centro di Cultura Polis Kephaloidion with direction by Marco Falletta, involved about two hundred performers and actors along the streets of the historic center, re-enacting the scenes of the Passion accompanied by live marches and music. As every year, the event attracted numerous visitors from all over Sicily.
