Sacred Heart of Jesus Festival – Borgata

The 2025 edition of the Sacred Heart Festival in the Borgata of Augusta began on June 10 with the "Festival among the homes" in Piazza Rosa Balistreri and, on June 17, on Via Barbarino. From June 18, the novena prepared the faithful for the solemnity.

The program included the procession of the Blessed Sacrament on June 26, with the blessing from the small altars, the procession of the statue through the streets of the Borgata Santa Lucia on June 28, and the closing procession on June 29. Musical and cultural events included: the concert by the "Federico II – City of Augusta" Brass Band conducted by Maestro Gaetano Galofaro, the show "Cantannu e Cuntannu Rosa Balistreri" with Giusy Schilirò, the Bordonaro Orchestra, and the Sicilian folk songs of the group Cantunovu. There was also a vintage Vespa and car exhibition organized by the Volante Storico of Syracuse, artistic illuminations, and sports activities promoted by neighborhood associations.
