Edition 2025 — Nagar Kirtan

In June 2025, the Sikh community of the Agro Pontino once again celebrated its traditional Nagar Kirtan in Sabaudia, marking its twenty-third consecutive edition. Thousands of devotees marched through the city streets amidst sacred hymns and prayers, while volunteers offered free food and drinks along the route, in the spirit of seva that has always characterized this festival.

The 2025 Nagar Kirtan

The 2025 edition of the Sabaudia Nagar Kirtan renewed a tradition that has been repeated every June for over twenty years in the heart of the Agro Pontino. The Sikh community of the Latina province, one of the largest in Italy, gathered around the local Gurdwara to accompany the holy book in procession amidst devotional chants, flags, and colors.

As every year, the day was marked by the spirit of seva: refreshment points and community kitchens set up along the route offered free vegetarian food, sweets, and drinks to worshippers, citizens, and visitors. An event that, edition after edition, has made the Nagar Kirtan one of the most anticipated and recognized moments of cultural encounter in the Municipality of Sabaudia and the Lazio region.
