Edition 2025 — Ru-mòre Festival

In the spring of 2025, the seventh and final edition of the event took place before the name change: the Barkov Film Festival, of which Ru-mòre is the direct successor. Seven editions dedicated to auteur short films and experimental cinema which, starting from the summer of 2025, gave way to the festival's new identity in San Lorenzo, Rome.

The event now known as Ru-mòre has its roots in the Barkov Film Festival, the short and experimental film event that had animated the Roman scene for seven editions with a particular focus on young short film directors. The 2025 edition represented the culmination of that journey: from there, with a new organization and renewed artistic direction, the festival was born which, since 2026, bears the name Ru-mòre and continues to take place in the San Lorenzo district, in Rome, Lazio. The common thread remains unchanged: giving space to experimental cinema, video art, and new audiovisual languages.
