Rovereto International Road Race

The 77th edition of the Rovereto International Road Race brought the historic centre of the Trentino town to life on Sunday, 19 October 2025. The day began in the afternoon with the Centro Sportivo Italiano trials, which involved athletes of all ages, from the youngest in the Cuccioli category to amateurs and veterans, in a festive atmosphere that served as a prelude to the international race.

The main event, contested over approximately 10 kilometres and nine laps of the city circuit with the finish in Piazza Rosmini, was won by Jean Marie Vianney Niyomukiza (Atl. Libertas Unicusano Livorno), who made a decisive break on the final lap, allowing him to overtake the Kenyan Bonface Fundi Njiru (Ass. Atl. Libertas Orvieto). Third place went to local runner Giovanni Gatto (U.S. Quercia DAO Conad), who was greeted by the warm applause of the home crowd.
