Rome Living Nativity 2025
The fourth edition of the Rome Living Nativity was held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in the Esquilino district. At 2:30 PM, the Nativity procession began, departing from Largo Sant'Alfonso Maria de' Liguori and continuing through Piazza dell'Esquilino to the basilica.
For the occasion, traffic closures were implemented along Via Merulana, Via dell'Esquilino, Via Liberiana, and Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore, with the diversion of numerous bus lines. The participants brought the testimony of different regions and cultures, before the Eucharistic celebration in the Liberian basilica, the «Bethlehem of the West» where the Holy Crib is venerated.
