Rome and its Castles Trophy

25th edition: Torre Alfina and Orte Sotterranea

For the quarter-century edition, the Scuderia Campidoglio expanded its range beyond the Province of Rome, towards the Tuscia region of Viterbo. On Saturday, April 5, the caravan departed at 9:30 AM from Bar Tornatora at the Euclide Center on Via Flaminia, reaching the Argillae winery in Allerona around noon for a visit and a brunch with wine tasting.

The castle and the underground

In the afternoon, at 3:30 PM, a guided tour of the medieval castle of Torre Alfina took place, followed by a transfer to Viterbo for dinner and an overnight stay. Sunday was dedicated to Orte Sotterranea, the network of tunnels, cisterns, and ice wells carved under the historic center, before the closing lunch at the Hotel Ristorante Sabina in Magliano Sabina and the final awards ceremony.

Two days that confirmed the Trophy's formula: vintage cars, medieval villages of Lazio, and authentic flavors, without ever making the stopwatch the protagonist.
