Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy

The 2025 Romantic Night in Castiglione di Sicilia took place on Saturday, June 21, enlivening the historic center of the village between Etna and the Alcantara. Among the most popular events were the "Staircase of the Kiss" in Piazza Lauria, decorated with flowers and photo stations, the "Il Tempo delle Mele" dance competition with prizes, recitations of Dante's poetry in period costumes at the Casa Vacanze Fiore del Borgo, and live music in Piazza Lauria (9:30 PM) and Piazza San Martino (9:00 PM), with a street band roaming the alleys.

Local venues offered romantic menus and tastings featuring a glass of wine and a platter of local products, while the municipal Exhibition Center hosted painting exhibitions, traditional embroidery, and crafts. Churches, the castle, and monuments were open, with the tower visitable for 2 euros. At midnight, the customary balloon release closed the evening. Couples could submit their photos until June 28 to participate in the photo contest, with free stays as prizes.
