Romantic Night in Palena

The 2025 edition of the Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy took place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, on the night of the summer solstice: it was the tenth national edition of the event. Palena was among the fourteen villages of Abruzzo and Molise participating, in the Province of Chieti.

From sunset until dawn, the historic center was illuminated simultaneously with lights, torches, and candles, wrapped in the unmistakable atmosphere of the Romantic Night. The widespread program offered strolls through the alleys, concerts and folk serenades, guided tours, exhibitions, and tasting trails of typical products. There was also the "Pensiero d'Amore" dessert, created by chef Anthony Genovese, and the traditional midnight kiss accompanied by the release of biodegradable balloons, for an evening shared with all the squares of the Italian villages.
