Young people take center stage in Nogarole Rocca

Rocca Offline – disconnessi per connetterci (Disconnect to Connect) is a youth event project held in Nogarole Rocca, a town in the plains of the Verona province. The initiative stems from the municipal call 'Bando alle Ciance' (Stop the Nonsense Call), designed to support projects conceived and implemented by local young people aged 16 to 30, with the aim of strengthening community bonds.

Sustainability and conscious technology

The common thread of Rocca Offline is sustainability and the conscious use of technology: the invitation, as the title suggests, is to 'disconnect to connect,' meaning to switch off from screens to rediscover the dimension of real relationships. The program includes a secondhand fashion show, dedicated to reuse and second-hand clothing, volleyball tournaments, workshops on sustainability, and activities for children, including an introduction to horse riding for kids.

A community initiative

Funded by the Municipality of Nogarole Rocca through the dedicated call, Rocca Offline is an example of how young people can promote initiatives capable of animating the town and creating opportunities for meeting. A project that, in early July, brings energy, ideas, and a desire to be together to the squares of the Veronese plain.
