The musical review of RisorgiMarche in historic theatres, abbeys, and churches of the Marche region
Riverberi is the musical review conceived by RisorgiMarche (now supported by the summer programme IncantoMarche) and produced in collaboration with TAM - Tutta un'Altra Musica. Born in 2023, it is the autumn, winter, and spring extension of the renowned festival established after the 2016 earthquake to bring music and life back to the affected villages in the Marche hinterland. While summer concerts are held in meadows and amidst nature, Riverberi brings music into the region's historic theatres, abbeys, and churches, spaces of great cultural and symbolic value where acoustics and architecture amplify the emotion.
The small village of Apiro, in the province of Macerata, is one of the review's most cherished stops. Concerts are held in two extraordinary venues: the Teatro Comunale Giovanni Mestica, a refined Italian-style theatre built between 1873 and 1903, with a horseshoe layout, two tiers of boxes, a gallery, and frescoes by Gaetano Galassi depicting eight great composers; and the Abbey of Sant'Urbano, a Romanesque gem nestled in the countryside, perfect for morning concerts.
Riverberi's hallmark is quality and experimentation: jazz, singer-songwriter music, world music, and fusions between tradition and contemporary languages. Artists capable of weaving together sounds, stories, and traditions perform on stage, often in intimate formations (solo, duo, trio) that enhance close listening. The review is also a community project: some editions have coincided with the reopening to the public of theatres restored after years of closure, returning precious spaces to the villages of the Marche.
Riverberi's events are spread across various municipalities in the hinterland (besides Apiro, including Servigliano, Penna San Giovanni, Porto San Giorgio, San Severino Marche, Monte San Martino). Tickets are affordably priced, usually between 5 and 10 euros, and in some cases, entry is free with reservation: a choice consistent with the solidarity, inclusivity, and eco-sustainability spirit that characterizes the entire RisorgiMarche experience.
The 4th edition of Riverberi brought to Apiro (MC), on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 9:00 PM in the Teatro Comunale Giovanni Mestica, one of the season's most applauded projects: Gnut & Alessandro D'Alessandro with Dduje Paravise. The concert was part of the 2026 review's itinerary, which opened on March 8th in Penna San Giovanni with Rachele Andrioli and her "Leuca," continued on April 19th at the Teatro Ideale in Servigliano with the tribute to Franco Battiato by Giua and Anaïs Drago, and then arrived in Apiro with contemporary Neapolitan music.
A musical dialogue that reinvents Neapolitan song between tradition and contemporaneity. Gnut (vocals and guitar), a Neapolitan singer-songwriter born in 1981, blends Neapolitan tradition with Anglo-American folk influences; Alessandro D'Alessandro (prepared accordion and electronics), originally from Coreno Ausonio, is among the most original innovators of the accordion, winner of the Premio Loano and the Targa Tenco.
The show takes its name from the famous 1925 song and traverses the repertoire of great Neapolitan authors - from Libero Bovio to Roberto Murolo, from Renato Carosone to Pino Daniele - revisited through voice, guitar, prepared accordion, and electronics, creating a bridge between tradition and today's language.
Teatro Comunale Giovanni Mestica, Corso Vittorio Emanuele 44, 62021 Apiro (MC). Some events are held at the Abbey of Sant'Urbano, in the countryside of the Municipality of Apiro.
