Rievocazione Storica della Repubblica di Cospaia

In 2025, the Historical Reenactment of the Republic of Cospaia renewed the event celebrating the customs and flavours of the tradition of the small hamlet in the Upper Tiber Valley. Amidst the streets enlivened by the 'contraband' market, cigar and pipe stands, and street artists, costumed historical figures recreated the life of the tobacco republic that existed from 1441 to 1826. There were also the 'smuggler's trek,' theatrical performances, show cooking with tastings, and a treasure hunt for children, with the wooden coin minted with local schools for exchanges at the stands. The event was promoted by the Municipality of San Giustino with the Pro Loco and local associations.
