Ricotta and Cheese Festival – Festival of Flavors and Knowledge

48th edition (2025)

The 48th edition of the Ricotta and Cheese Festival of Vizzini took place on April 24 and 25, 2025, opening with a moment of reflection and prayer in memory of Pope Francis. The edition reserved an extensive program for Sicilian beekeeping, with the Regional Association of Sicilian Beekeepers (ARAS) taking center stage at the Norman Castle – the former Bourbon prison – with numerous initiatives dedicated to the world of bees and hive products.

As per tradition, the historic center hosted tasting stalls for fresh ricotta and local cheeses, parades of Sicilian carts, costumes and flag-wavers, theatrical performances, and literary walks through the places described in the short stories of Giovanni Verga.
