International Folk in Riccia
The Riccia Folk Festival is one of the longest-running folk music and dance events in Molise. It takes place in August in the historic center of Riccia (CB) and is organized by the 'G. Moffa' Folk Group Cultural Association, a historic local ensemble that has been promoting local folkloristic traditions and international cultural exchanges for years.
Groups from Around the World
The festival, which has surpassed its fifteenth edition, brings Italian and international folk groups to Riccia: recent editions have featured ensembles from Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Ukraine, Ecuador, Thailand, and Spain, alongside artists of Italian popular song. Traditional dance and costume performances are held in the squares of the historic center, particularly in Piazza Umberto I.

Alongside the performances, the festival offers food and wine stalls featuring typical Riccia dishes and evening concerts by popular music artists. It's an event that combines spectacle, conviviality, and the promotion of the Fortore territory.

For 2026 too, the 'G. Moffa' Folk Group Association is preparing a new edition of the Riccia Folk Festival, expected in August in the historic center of Riccia. The multi-day format is confirmed: national and international folk groups, traditional dances and costumes, evening concerts, and food and wine stalls in Piazza Umberto I.

The 2026 program and lineup will be announced by the 'G. Moffa' Folk Group Association in the weeks preceding the event (gruppofolkmoffa.com and social media channels). Based on recent editions, the structure includes:
- Evenings of performances by international folk groups (in recent editions from Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Ukraine, Ecuador, Thailand, Spain)
- Concerts by artists of Italian popular music
- Traditional dance and costume shows in Piazza Umberto I and the historic center
- Food and wine stalls with typical Riccia dishes
