International Folk in Riccia
The Riccia Folk Festival is one of the longest-running folk music and dance events in Molise. It takes place in August in the historic center of Riccia (CB) and is organized by the 'G. Moffa' Folk Group Cultural Association, a historic local ensemble that has been promoting local folklore traditions and international cultural exchanges for years.
Groups from Around the World
The festival, which has surpassed its fifteenth edition, brings Italian and international folk groups to Riccia: recent editions have featured ensembles from Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Ukraine, Ecuador, Thailandia, and Spain, alongside Italian folk music artists. Performances of traditional dances and costumes are held in the squares of the historic center, particularly in Piazza Umberto I.

Alongside the performances, the festival offers food and wine stalls with typical Riccia dishes and evening concerts by popular music artists. It is an event that combines entertainment, conviviality, and the promotion of the Fortore region.

For 2026 too, the 'G. Moffa' Folk Group Association is preparing a new edition of the Riccia Folk Festival, expected in August in the historic center of Riccia. The multi-day format is confirmed: national and international folk groups, traditional dances and costumes, evening concerts, and food stalls in Piazza Umberto I.

The 2026 program and lineup will be announced by the 'G. Moffa' Folk Group Association in the weeks preceding the event (gruppofolkmoffa.com and social media channels). Based on recent editions, the structure includes:
- Evenings of performances by international folk groups (in recent editions from Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Ukraine, Ecuador, Thailandia, Spain)
- Concerts by Italian folk music artists
- Performances of traditional dances and costumes in Piazza Umberto I and the historic center
- Food and wine stalls with typical Riccia dishes
