Edition 2025 — Rhythms and Sounds of the Mediterranean

The 2025 edition of the International Folk Music Festival 'Rhythms and Sounds of the Mediterranean' was held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in Piazza Ciaia in Fasano, starting at 9:30 PM, following the historical parade of La Scamiciata. Described by president Vito Belfiore as the evolution of the historic square performance concluding the Scamiciata, the free event brought together Italian and international folk groups.

2025 Edition

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, starting at 9:30 PM, Piazza Ciaia in Fasano welcomed the International Folk Music Festival 'Rhythms and Sounds of the Mediterranean', at the end of the historical parade of La Scamiciata. The evening, with free admission, was organized by the volunteers of the Gruppo Ricerca Cultura Popolare I Canti del Faso in collaboration with the Giugno Fasanese Committee.

The stage featured students from the Pascoli middle school with primitive expression, the Dragoni del Molise from Agnone, oriental dances and Arab folklore by Gamal and Naima Hassan, the group Vace Zela from Lushnje in Albania, and, in closing, the Gruppo Ricerca Cultura Popolare I Canti del Faso. A journey through Molise, Puglia, the Arab world, and the Balkans in the name of Mediterranean folk tradition.
