Edition 2025 — Review of Bagpipes
The 2025 edition of the Review of Bagpipes and Shawms of Southern Italy renewed one of the most beloved Christmas traditions of the Val d'Agri in Viggiano. On December 27th, in the afternoon, musicians in traditional pastoral costume walked through the historic center of the village, performing devotional and pastoral songs with the bagpipe and shawm. Promoted by the Folk Group "La Chicchirichi" with the patronage of the Municipality of Viggiano, the review enveloped the village streets in an authentic and evocative Christmas atmosphere.
