Resuttano Living Nativity

The 2024/2025 edition of the Resuttano Living Nativity was particularly significant, as it celebrated the 25th anniversary of the event, which began in 1998. As every year, the historic quarter around the Church of the Immaculate Conception came alive with actors in costume and workshops of ancient trades.

For the silver jubilee, on January 6, 2025, a solemn Mass was held with the participation of Bishop Monsignor Mario Russotto and Archpriest Father Ignazio Carrubba; the church was as crowded as it is during major patronal feasts. At the end of the service, a cake-cutting ceremony was performed by the Bishop, followed by a group photo with actors and administrators, fireworks, and musical entertainment by maestro Corrado Sillitti. There was no shortage of free tastings of local products and the arrival of the Three Wise Men on Epiphany.
