The Roman festival of sports, eSports, and immersive technologies
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
RES – Rome Electronic Sport is a festival dedicated to the world of electronic sports and immersive technologies, organized in Rome by the Fusolab association with the support of Roma Capitale – Department of Sport. The event transforms the Alessandrino district, in the eastern suburbs of the city, into a vast laboratory for gaming and digital wellness, involving multiple local venues: Fusolab 2.0, the Danz!amo and Metabolica spaces, and the Casilino Shopping Center.
RES was born from the idea that video games and technology can become tools for social interaction, sport, and culture. The festival offers a journey where the real and virtual worlds meet: from eSports tournaments on the most popular titles to virtual and augmented reality experiences, and driving and flight simulators that let you feel the adrenaline of competition without leaving your seat.
The commercial and nostalgic heart of the festival, the Game Vintage Market brings together exhibitors from all over Italy with retro games, board games, action figures, video games, Funko Pops, manga, comics, and Pokémon and Magic trading cards. It is a great opportunity to buy, trade, and complete your collection while immersed in the atmosphere of gaming past and present. Street food is also available, provided by Fucina Alessandrina.
Free and open to everyone, RES is designed for families, young people, enthusiasts, and the simply curious. The event represents one of the key appointments in the Lazio region for digital culture and electronic sports, blending fun, innovation, and a focus on wellness. Thanks to easy access via the metro and ample parking, RES has established itself in just a few editions as a premier gaming showcase in the Municipality of Rome.
The 2026 edition of RES – Rome Electronic Sport has not yet been officially announced by the Fusolab association. Based on previous editions, the festival is expected to return to Fusolab and the spaces of the Alessandrino district in Rome, with its usual lineup of eSports tournaments, virtual reality experiences, simulators, retrogaming, and the Game Vintage Market. Dates and the detailed program will be published on the official website res.fusolab.net. This page will be updated as soon as the organizers release information regarding the 2026 edition.
