Renaissance Festivals of Castel del Rio

The 41st edition of the Renaissance Festivals of Castel del Rio was held on Saturday, July 5, and Sunday, July 6, 2025, organized by the Associazione Culturale Alidosiana with the patronage of the Municipality, the Emilia-Romagna Region, and the Metropolitan City of Bologna.

Two days of free admission animated the village with historical encampments, archery, children's games, artisan shops, taverns, and a market. Saturday evening featured falconry exhibitions, jester shows, and theater, with the pyrotechnic show The Witch and the Inquisitor at 10:30 PM. Sunday afternoon was dedicated to the grand historical procession with 400 figures in Renaissance costumes and the challenge between the Alidosi districts, concluding in the evening with acrobatic performances and fireworks at the Ponte Alidosi at 10:45 PM.
