Edition 2025 โ€” Reading Festival

The first edition of the Reading Festival took place from May 7 to June 30, 2025, in Rome's Municipio II, with the theme "Rome of peace and nature" and a tribute to Alberto Manzi on the centenary of the birth of the teacher and writer.

"Rome of peace and nature"

The 2025 edition inaugurated the 2025-2027 three-year project entrusted to the association Il Talento di Roma APS, winner of the call for proposals by the Municipio II of Rome Capital. From May 7 to June 30, 2025, the festival proposed a widespread program around the theme "Rome of peace and nature," with a common thread dedicated to Alberto Manzi, teacher, writer, and face of the television program "Non รจ mai troppo tardi" (It's never too late), on the centenary of his birth.

A program across libraries, parks, and museums

Book presentations, workshops for children and teenagers, theatrical and musical performances, reading groups, and readings took place in numerous venues of the Municipality: libraries, cinemas, museums, schools, independent bookstores, and green areas. Partners of the event included the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia, the Civic Museums of Rome, and the Rome Library network.

Fogli(e) in Fiera

From May 30 to June 1, Parco Nemorense (Virgiliano Park) hosted the second edition of Fogli(e) in Fiera, the free fair for small and micro independent Roman publishing houses, with stands, presentations, and meetings between authors, publishers, and readers. All events of the 2025 Reading Festival were free to attend.
