Edition 2025 — Raggiolo Castagnatura
2025 Edition
The 2025 Raggiolo Castagnatura Festival was held on Saturday, November 1, and Sunday, November 2. On Saturday afternoon, guided tours started at 4:00 PM from Piazza San Michele, featuring chestnut processing demonstrations and local tastings, creative workshops for children at the info point, and from 5:30 PM, music and storytelling at the Sepolcreto, followed by dinner in the square with folk dancing.
On Sunday, starting at 10:00 AM, the artisan market was set up alongside the opening of the Chestnut EcoMuseum; at noon, lunch featured local flavors, followed in the afternoon by threshing and polenta preparation demonstrations, chestnut dessert tastings, a juggling show, and pony rides. At sunset, the lighting of the log in the square took place, followed by the re-enactment of the Time of the vigil in the drying shed. A free shuttle service operated between Ortignano and Raggiolo from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
