The black hats parade through the streets of Meda
The Raduno Sezionale Alpini is the grand gathering that will take place in Meda in 2026, a municipality in the Province of Monza and Brianza. The event is organized by the Monza Section of the National Alpini Association (ANA) together with the Meda Alpini Group, and it brings together the black hats from the region for days of remembrance, brotherhood, and tradition.
The rally is not a one-day event: initiatives are spread over several days, starting with the inauguration of two documentary exhibitions at the Sala Civica Radio. The first, curated by Andrea Motta, tells the story of the black hats through their uniforms; the second, curated by Umberto Gasparinetti, is a photographic exhibition dedicated to the history of the Meda Alpini Group. During the rally days, there will also be climbing and civil protection demonstrations, a solemn mass, and moments of conviviality with dinner and music.
The highlight is the institutional day, with the gathering in Piazza Cavour, the flag-raising ceremony, speeches by authorities, and most importantly, the grand parade through the city streets, accompanied by the Alpini Band of Asso. A procession that colors Meda with the green of the black hats and involves the entire community.
The Sectional Rally is much more than a demonstration: it is an opportunity to honor the memory of the Alpini, pass on the values of solidarity and service that distinguish the association, and strengthen the bond between the Meda Alpini Group and the citizens. For the Brianza municipality, hosting the rally represents a recognition and a source of pride.
