About Radici Festival

For four weeks, from March 21st to April 12th, 2026, the village of Serra de' Conti, in the province of Ancona, transforms into an open-air, widespread laboratory. Radici Festival, in its first edition, weaves together nature, culture, rural traditions, and experimentation: each week has a theme, from wild herbs to wine, from honey to cicerchia beans. Botanical walks, gravel routes, guided tastings, workshops, shows, live music, and markets animate the historic centre of the Marche region.

A festival that starts from its roots

Radici Festival was born in 2026 in Serra de' Conti, a small village in the province of Ancona, in the heart of the Marche's Vallesina region, between the Misa and Nevola valleys. The first edition, promoted and supported by the Municipality and organized by the Pro Loco, offers a month-long journey that intertwines nature, culture, peasant knowledge, and new experiments. Not a single event, but a widespread calendar that enlivens the historic centre from March 21st to April 12th.

Four weeks, four rural themes

The festival's structure is its most original feature: each weekend revolves around a theme related to rural life and local knowledge.

  • Wild herbs (March 21-22): botanical walks, paper printing workshops, and themed dinners.
  • Wine (March 27-29): guided tastings, walks among the vines, and meetings on traditional cured meats.
  • Honey (April 2-5): the sweetness of beekeeping and its crafts.
  • Cicerchia beans (April 9-12): the legume symbol of Serra de' Conti, a Slow Food Presidium, the protagonist of the final weekend.

Between culture, art, and taste

The program alternates between nature walks, gravel routes through the hills, tastings, creative workshops, educational activities, theatre performances, live music, and convivial moments. Among the cultural offerings are an installation by artist Simone Massi with his animated short films, the screening of the documentary Onta Appenninica, the reading Le memorie si vincono, and a collective photographic exhibition born from the Radici contest.

Throughout the event, markets of local artisans and producers animate the spaces of the historic centre, while local restaurateurs offer menus dedicated to the festival's themes. DJ sets and street performances complete an atmosphere that makes Serra de' Conti a meeting place for different generations and languages.

A village that tells its story

With Radici Festival, Serra de' Conti relaunches its identity as a Marche village tied to the land and its traditions, from cicerchia beans to artisan crafts. An opportunity to rediscover the hinterland of the province of Ancona, far from the beaten paths, at a time of year when spring awakens the Vallesina countryside.

Radici Festival — edition 2026

The first edition of Radici Festival took place from March 21st to April 12th, 2026, in Serra de' Conti (AN), featuring four themed weekends dedicated to wild herbs, wine, honey, and cicerchia beans. A month of walks, tastings, workshops, shows, and music spread throughout the historic centre, organized by the Pro Loco with the support of the Municipality.

The first edition of Radici Festival transformed Serra de' Conti into a widespread laboratory over an entire month, with four weekends each dedicated to a theme of Marche rural tradition. Alongside the individual weekend events, the festival offered throughout its duration markets of artisans and producers, themed menus from local restaurateurs, DJ sets, and street performances, as well as a collective photographic exhibition born from the Radici contest and an installation by artist Simone Massi.
