A month of nature, flavours, and community in the village of Serra de' Conti
Radici Festival was born in 2026 in Serra de' Conti, a small village in the province of Ancona, in the heart of the Marche's Vallesina region, between the Misa and Nevola valleys. The first edition, promoted and supported by the Municipality and organized by the Pro Loco, offers a month-long journey that intertwines nature, culture, peasant knowledge, and new experiments. Not a single event, but a widespread calendar that enlivens the historic centre from March 21st to April 12th.
The festival's structure is its most original feature: each weekend revolves around a theme related to rural life and local knowledge.
The program alternates between nature walks, gravel routes through the hills, tastings, creative workshops, educational activities, theatre performances, live music, and convivial moments. Among the cultural offerings are an installation by artist Simone Massi with his animated short films, the screening of the documentary Onta Appenninica, the reading Le memorie si vincono, and a collective photographic exhibition born from the Radici contest.
Throughout the event, markets of local artisans and producers animate the spaces of the historic centre, while local restaurateurs offer menus dedicated to the festival's themes. DJ sets and street performances complete an atmosphere that makes Serra de' Conti a meeting place for different generations and languages.
With Radici Festival, Serra de' Conti relaunches its identity as a Marche village tied to the land and its traditions, from cicerchia beans to artisan crafts. An opportunity to rediscover the hinterland of the province of Ancona, far from the beaten paths, at a time of year when spring awakens the Vallesina countryside.
The first edition of Radici Festival transformed Serra de' Conti into a widespread laboratory over an entire month, with four weekends each dedicated to a theme of Marche rural tradition. Alongside the individual weekend events, the festival offered throughout its duration markets of artisans and producers, themed menus from local restaurateurs, DJ sets, and street performances, as well as a collective photographic exhibition born from the Radici contest and an installation by artist Simone Massi.
A weekend dedicated to beekeeping and its crafts, with workshops, tastings, and meetings. The detailed program was published by the Pro Loco on its channels.
The final weekend dedicated to the cicerchia beans of Serra de' Conti, a Slow Food Presidium, with tastings, workshops, and convivial moments to close the festival.
Historic centre of Serra de' Conti (AN), Marche. Events take place in squares, halls, and places within the village (Piazza Matteotti, Sala Italia, San Paterniano, Grotta dei Padronsi), as well as in the surrounding hills and vineyards for outdoor activities.
By car: take the Senigallia exit from the A14 motorway, then follow the SS360 inland. The nearest train station is Senigallia, on the Adriatic line, from where you can continue by bus or car towards the hinterland.
Many initiatives are free to enter; some specific events (themed dinners, workshops, guided tastings, courses) have a fee, ranging from a few euros up to about €80 for more specialized courses. Several activities require booking.
