The art of water and earth by Mara Ruzza between Palazzo Maestri and Villa Cesarotti
«Racconti dal fiume» is the widespread exhibition by artist and curator Mara Ruzza, promoted by the Municipality of Selvazzano Dentro (province of Padua). A project that tells the story of the relationship between man and the river through works created with natural materials: river water and the clays and sandy soils that are part of it become colour and material for painting.
The exhibition is spread across multiple locations in the area: it begins in the Sala Vittorio De Zanche of Palazzo Eugenio Maestri and continues at the Barchessa and in the Park of Villa Cesarotti, in dialogue with the park's summer events. The widespread setup invites the public to rediscover the deep connection between Selvazzano Dentro and its river identity, along the banks of the Bacchiglione.
Alongside the exhibition, there are workshops open to everyone, led by Mara Ruzza herself, allowing participants to experience the «earth and water painting» techniques firsthand. This initiative combines contemporary art, environmental awareness, and participation, in line with the cultural programming of the Municipality of Selvazzano Dentro.
The widespread exhibition «Racconti dal fiume» by Mara Ruzza is held in Selvazzano Dentro from May 23 to June 27, 2026. Inauguration on May 23 at 10:00 AM in the Sala Vittorio De Zanche of Palazzo Maestri; the exhibition then continues at the Barchessa and in the Park of Villa Cesarotti, with workshops open to all led by the artist.
