Edition 2025 — Quella Notte al Convento

The 2025 edition of Quella Notte al Convento was held in Ripa Teatina on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. Hundreds of participants brought the atmosphere of the late 18th century to life, with cultural meetings, food stalls, live music, a historical parade, and the re-enactment of the 1799 battle and the martyrdom of the six Franciscan friars at the Convento di Santa Maria della Pietà.

2025 Edition

The event kicked off on Saturday, June 28 with a cultural moment at 6:30 PM, featuring a talk by the ethno-anthropologist Prof. Adriana Gandolfi on the traditions of Abruzzo; from 8:00 PM, the food stalls opened, accompanied by the music of the band Fraeks. On Sunday, June 29, the day began with a cannon shot and the 11:00 AM mass with all the participants, followed by the period costume parade through the village streets, the welcoming of delegations from the friars' hometowns, historical dances, and at 9:30 PM, the re-enactment of the battle and the massacre of the friars in the convent square.
