Edition 2025 — Purpetta Festival
The 2025 edition of the Purpetta Festival in Bagnolo del Salento renewed the summer appointment with Salento's gastronomic tradition. At the stalls in the village center, the purpetta—the traditional meatball made of meat, stale bread, eggs, and cheese fried in olive oil—was served hot and fragrant along with other specialties of Apulian popular cuisine.
The event, with free admission, combined tastings, conviviality, and live music evenings, attracting families and curious visitors from neighboring towns in the province of Lecce and confirming the value of the festival as a moment of celebration and promotion of local products.
