Edition 2025 — Puccini Festival

The 71st edition of the Puccini Festival took place from July 18 to September 6, 2025, at the Gran Teatro all'Aperto in Torre del Lago. Over seventeen evenings, five titles were staged — Tosca, La bohème, Turandot, Madama Butterfly, and Manon Lescaut — in addition to a highly anticipated gala with Anna Netrebko. The edition marked a new chapter for the Puccini Festival Foundation, with a season rich in top-tier voices and an 'Off' section featuring concerts and dance.

The 71st edition of the Puccini Festival

The 2025 edition of the Puccini Festival brought the Gran Teatro all'Aperto in Torre del Lago (Viareggio, province of Lucca) to life from July 18 to September 6, for a total of seventeen evenings, all starting at 9:15 PM.

The program

The program featured five operas — Tosca, La bohème, Turandot, Madama Butterfly, and Manon Lescaut — accompanied by an opera gala with Anna Netrebko. Some of the most important voices on the international scene performed on stage, including Maria Agresta, Aleksandra Kurzak, Eleonora Buratto, Rosa Feola, Roberto Alagna, Gregory Kunde, Francesco Meli, and Jonathan Tetelman.

The Off section

Alongside the main operas, an 'Off' section enriched the festival with chamber concerts, dance, and special projects, including a 'Morricone Story' concert and a 'pocket' version of Suor Angelica at the Parco della Musica, confirming the Puccini Festival as a key event of the Tuscan opera summer.
