Edition 2025 — Sacred Mysteries of Faggiano

On April 18, 2025, Good Friday, Faggiano celebrated the 205th edition of the Procession of the Sacred Mysteries. At 7:00 PM, the procession departed from the Mother Church of Maria SS. Assunta: the seven papier-mâché statues by Pietro Paolo Pinca were carried on the shoulders of the confreres of the Rosary and the Carmine, preceded by the sound of the 'troccola', along the streets of the center crowded with faithful and onlookers.

2025 Edition — the 205th

The Procession of the Sacred Mysteries of Faggiano took place on April 18, 2025, Good Friday, departing at 7:00 PM from the Mother Church of Maria SS. Assunta. An important milestone, the 205th edition, which reaffirmed the uninterrupted continuity of a rite born in 1820.

As per tradition, the seven papier-mâché statues, the work of Pietro Paolo Pinca, crossed the town streets, carried on the shoulders of confreres in ritual attire and preceded by the 'troccola'. The procession, with its slow and rhythmic pace, accompanied the re-enactment of the Passion amidst the moving participation of the Faggiano community, in the heart of the province of Taranto.
