Edition 2025 — Mysteries of Montelepre

Also in 2025, on Palm Sunday, Montelepre renewed its ancient Procession of the Mysteries. The eighty living tableaux animated the historic center with about four hundred participants and the traditional accompanying animals, re-proposing the Holy Scriptures from the Creation to Calvary before thousands of spectators, following a tradition that has been repeated since 1741.

The 2025 edition of the Procession of the Mysteries in Montelepre took place in the usual setting of Palm Sunday, confirming the appointment that has opened Holy Week in the village of the Metropolitan City of Palermo since 1741.

Along the narrow streets of the historic center, the eighty living tableaux paraded with their about four hundred participants and live animals in tow, from the scene of the Creation to the walk toward Calvary. The representation, curated by the Pro Loco of Montelepre, attracted thousands of visitors, reaffirming the identity and devotional value of one of the most evocative Easter traditions in Sicily.
