Edition 2025 — Most Holy Crucifix on the Vara
In September 2025, Campobello di Mazara (Trapani) renewed its most cherished tradition with festivities in honor of the Most Holy Crucifix, concluding with the solemn procession of the Vara through the town streets on the last Sunday of the month.
During the preceding weekends (Saturday afternoon from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Sunday morning), the Pro Loco "Costa di Cusa", supported by Civil Service volunteers, offered free guided tours of the Mother Church on Via Garibaldi: a 25-minute journey through the remains of the ancient small church at the well and the 17th-century Crucifix housed in the Vara. Religious celebrations preceded the outing of the simulacrum, a moment of strong popular participation and identity for the entire Campobello community.
