Procession of the Madonna della Margana

The 2025 edition of the Procession of the Madonna della Margana took place according to tradition on the last Sunday of May, with the celebration of Holy Mass in the Mother Church followed by the procession toward the sanctuary. The festival, organized by the town parish, recorded a large and heartfelt participation from the islanders, confirming the strong bond of the Pantelleria community with its patron saint. The ascent of the icon, kept during the winter in the Mother Church, marks the return of the sacred image to the rural sanctuary of the Màrgana every year, awaiting the subsequent descent at the end of October.
