The 2025 edition of the Procession of the Madonna Assunta took place on Thursday, August 14th, as per tradition, as part of the Vitorchiano Estate 2025 program—the schedule of festivals, music, and culture promoted by the Municipality of Vitorchiano with local associations. The image of the Virgin, placed on the historic Processional Machine carved, gilded, and silver-plated between the 17th and 19th centuries, crossed the alleys of the historic center, starting from the Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Cielo.

The evening confirmed the deep bond of the Vitorchiano community with the feast of the Assunta: the procession on the eve of Ferragosto remains one of the most heartfelt religious rites of the town, capable of uniting faith, popular tradition, and participation in the evocative setting of the village suspended on the peperino cliff, in the province of Viterbo.
