Procession of the Dead Christ

In 2025, the Procession of the Dead Christ confirmed its centrality in Gubbio's Holy Week. On the evening of Good Friday, the procession crossed the historic center starting from the Church of Santa Croce della Foce, carrying the effigy of the Dead Christ on its shoulders along the ancient itinerary.

The singing of the Miserere and the Songs of the Passion accompanied the procession in an atmosphere of recollection and devotion, with the participation of confraternities, religious communities, and numerous locals, bearing witness to a tradition passed down through centuries.
