Prickly Pear and Masticuttè Festival

The 5th Prickly Pear and Masticuttè Festival brought Alimena to life on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 PM, based at the Villa Comunale. Free admission and a full tasting menu for 13 euros (water and wine included, gluten-free options available upon request).

The day opened at 9:30 AM with guided tours of the historic center led by the Youth Council, followed at 10:30 AM by the "Attacchi d'Arte" live painting competition and the opening of the artisan village at 11:00 AM. In the afternoon, the program featured folk music by the Gruppo Imachara (3:00 PM), a cooking show, and a performance by the street band I Clarinottoni (6:00 PM), leading up to the grand evening finale with CalisMayo and Mary. Piazza Regina Margherita hosted an exhibition of vintage cars and motorcycles, while works by local artists Rosario Genduso, Pino La Marca, and Igino Russo were displayed throughout the village.
