The Middle Ages return to Castione
Presolana Medievale is the day when the historic center of Castione della Presolana, in the province of Bergamo, transforms into a medieval village. Organized by the Pro Loco, the event traditionally opens the summer season of the Presolana plateau, in the upper Val Seriana, with a themed event that combines re-enactment, shows, and gastronomy.
What to see
Throughout the day, the streets and squares of the village host medieval-inspired settings, encampments, stalls of artisans and ancient crafts, costumed figures, musicians, and itinerant entertainment. There are also taverns with period dishes, designed to let visitors experience the flavors of the past. It is an event suitable for families, with entertainment dedicated to children who can playfully discover the customs and traditions of the Middle Ages.

The setting is the Presolana plateau, one of the most beloved holiday resorts in the Bergamo area, dominated by the famous mountain that gives the area its name. Organized by the Pro Loco, the day features medieval settings in the village streets, encampments, stalls of ancient crafts, musicians and costumed figures, taverns with period dishes, and entertainment for families.
