Edition 2025 — Asparagus Festival of Sant'Andrea
The 2025 edition of the Asparagus Festival of Sant'Andrea took place on the weekends of May 17-18 and 24-25, in the parish park of the hamlet, organized by the Štandrež Cultural Circle. The stars were the local white asparagus, served in pieces with hard-boiled eggs according to the ancient peasant tradition.
The evenings were enlivened by live music, with Trio Šubic on May 17, Alpentrio on May 24, and an accordion night on May 18. The stalls offered traditional cuisine, with drinks from 3:00 PM and food from 6:00 PM, confirming the festival as one of the most cherished events of the Slovenian community of Gorizia.
