The Prati Fiscali neighborhood festival

The Village White Night is the annual event that transforms Vicolo dei Prati Fiscali, in the historic Prati Fiscali Vecchia, into a large open-air living room. Located in the northern quadrant of Rome, between Conca d'Oro and Val Melaina, within the Municipality III Montesacro, this is a tucked-away corner rich in memory, where for one night the streets fill with lights, music, and people. Admission is free, and the event, promoted by the "I Bravi di Prati Fiscali" Committee with the support of local residents, was born as a moment of gathering and sharing between inhabitants and their territory.

A village in the heart of the Capital

The name "Village White Night" refers to the small cluster of houses and buildings constructed between the 1920s and 1940s near the old Dazio toll house, from which the area takes the name Prati Fiscali. It is a piece of the city that has preserved an almost village-like dimension, made of alleys, courtyards, and neighborly bonds: this identity is the true star of the festival, inviting Romans and curious visitors to rediscover a lesser-known, authentic Rome, far from the main tourist circuits.

The evening program

The White Night unfolds along Vicolo dei Prati Fiscali from early evening until late at night. The musical heart is entrusted to the Fanfaroma Urban Band, which enlivens the streets with its roving brass band, engaging the public, while throughout the evening there is a rotation of entertainment, DJ sets, and activities designed for all ages. Completing the atmosphere are the street food stalls distributed along the route, accompanying the festival with informal culinary offerings.

Music, conviviality, and sustainability

The event focuses heavily on participation and environmental awareness: it is organized as a plastic-free event, in line with sustainability principles. It is not just a simple concert, but a true community festival where the street becomes a shared space, a meeting place for families, young people, and the elderly of the village. Its free, open-air format makes it one of the most anticipated evenings on the neighborhood calendar.

A grassroots festival

The first edition of the Village White Night took place on June 10, 2023, on the initiative of the "I Bravi di Prati Fiscali" Committee together with the inhabitants of Vicolo di Prati Fiscali, Prati Fiscali Vecchia, and the surrounding streets. From the beginning, the festival has had a strong focus on solidarity and social cohesion, becoming over the years a symbol of neighborhood pride. Supported by Municipality III, the event confirms the vitality of Roman community life and the desire of the citizens of the Lazio Region to take care of their spaces and traditions.
