Porcino Mushroom Festival 2025 — The 39th Edition

The 2025 edition of the Porcino Mushroom Festival in Castel del Rio took place on the weekends of August 23-24 and 30-31. Although forty years have passed since the festival's inception, this was the 39th edition due to a year's interruption caused by Covid.

The Pro Loco Alidosiana, chaired by Paolo Franceschi, set up a tent of about 300 square meters along the Provincial Road Montanara, which was pedestrianized for the occasion between Palazzo Alidosi and the town center. The menu featured a trio of appetizers with woodland flavors, tagliatelle alla boscaiola, potato tortelli, fried porcini with squacquerone cheese, and pork tenderloin with herbs, with gluten-free and mushroom-free options.

The evenings featured performances by CialtroNight (August 23), the Gruppo Milleluci Danze from Alfonsine (August 24), Mama (August 30), and Bellaprika with their Vasco Rossi tribute (August 31). In Piazza della Repubblica, stalls of the traditional market were set up, while the MB Brewery curated the selection of craft beers.
