Edition 2025 — Popoli in Festa

The first edition of Popoli in Festa was held on May 30 and 31, 2025, in San Cesario di Lecce. Created to give a voice to the numerous foreign communities residing in the municipality, the event combined music, international gastronomy, workshops, and moments of encounter, laying the foundations for an annual appointment dedicated to dialogue between peoples.

The first edition

In 2025, San Cesario di Lecce hosted the first edition of Popoli in Festa, a multicultural event conceived to showcase the many foreign communities present in the small Salento town, in the province of Lecce. The initiative, promoted by the Sant'Antonio da Padova Parish together with the Missionary Center, the Migrantes Office of the Diocese of Lecce, and local associations, offered global cuisine, live music, intercultural workshops, and moments of reflection. The success of this first experience encouraged the organizers to relaunch the event the following year, confirming it as a regular appointment dedicated to inclusion and peace.
