Edition 2025 — Ferrarese Cappelletto Festival

The first edition of the Ferrarese Cappelletto Festival of the Agro Pontino took place on Sunday, January 5, and Monday, January 6, 2025, in Piazza Indipendenza, Pontinia, during the Epiphany weekend. Born from a project by the Pro Loco and the Ferraresi dell'Agro Pontino Association, supported by Arsial as part of the promotion of Lazio's agri-food products, the event brought the signature dish of the Emilian settlers to the square with food stalls, workshops, and street performances.

The debut of the festival

The first edition of the event opened its doors on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM with the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Piazza Indipendenza, Pontinia. Three stalls managed by local restaurateurs offered the Ferrarese cappelletto in its traditional versions, accompanied by other specialties of Pontina cuisine.

Workshops and shows

Both mornings, at 10:30 AM, workshops dedicated to children were held in the spaces of the former Dopolavoro. Entertainment in the square was entrusted to street artists: the magic show by Fil Mago o non M'ago on January 5 and the giant bubbles by Arya e le magiche bolle on Epiphany day.

The public success of this debut, financially supported by the regional agency Arsial, convinced the organizers to give continuity to the festival, confirming it as a winter appointment for the Municipality of Pontinia.
