Polpetta Festival

The 24th edition of the Polpetta Festival took place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, in the historic center of Avetrana. The evening began at 7:00 PM with a culinary workshop dedicated to the Avetrana meatball, followed at 8:30 PM by a pizzica pizzica workshop led by Rondarte with Silvia Greco.

From 9:30 PM, the stage hosted the Salento Folk Festival with Tremula Core, Nicolas Lezzi, and the Avetrana group Haitra; at 10:00 PM, it was the turn of the ARNEO Tambourine Project led by Giancarlo Paglialunga, with over twelve tambourine players and dancers. Following this, a DJ set by Antonello Gentile (Radionorba) and the winners of the Top DJ Contest. There was no shortage of artisan markets, games for children, and tastings of local products, with Avetrana meatballs as the great stars of the evening.
