Polenta and Ciammellette Scrofanesi Festival

How the 2025 edition went

On Saturday, December 13, 2025, Sacrofano celebrated the third edition of its winter festival, with Piazza Ugo Serata bustling from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. At the heart of the celebration were the two perennial stars: polenta, prepared according to the traditional recipe, and ciammellette scrofanesi, the simple sweets of the village's peasant memory.

Surrounding the food stalls were craft markets with handmade Christmas gift ideas, exhibitions of local specialties, live music, and festive carols. For the little ones, there was plenty of entertainment, soap bubbles, and Santa's House with his elves.

At 6:00 PM, the municipal library hosted a free presentation of the book «Il bambino che voleva vivere» by Carla Brunetti. The edition, organized with the support of the Lazio Region and the collaboration of the Veio Regional Park Authority and the Pro Loco Sacrofano, confirmed the festival as one of the most cherished events of the Sacrofano Christmas season.

From 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM in Piazza Ugo Serata: tastings of polenta and ciammellette scrofanesi, craft markets with handmade Christmas items, exhibitions of local gastronomic specialties, live music, entertainment and soap bubbles for children, Santa's House with elves, and Christmas carols. At 6:00 PM, at the municipal library, presentation of the book «Il bambino che voleva vivere» by Carla Brunetti (free admission).
