Pizza Convention 2025, the first edition

The first edition of Pizza Convention took place on June 11 and 12, 2025, at Officine Farneto in Rome, in the Lazio region. Conceived as a professional congress entirely dedicated to pizza, the event explored all aspects of the sector: from the legal protection of the pizzaiolo's figure to training, from pizza as a symbol of the Mediterranean diet to the conscious use of flours, up to front-of-house service and modern pizzeria design.

During the opening ceremony, the recognition of "father of contemporary pizza" was conferred upon four undisputed protagonists of the white art: Gabriele Bonci, Renato Bosco, Simone Padoan, and Franco Pepe. The two days featured seminars, talks, and show cooking with some of the most well-known Italian pizzaiolos and emerging young talents, laying the foundations for the Roman appointment dedicated to pizza culture.
