Edition 2025 — La Pittulata

In December 2025, Tiggiano renewed its appointment with La Pittulata, the festival dedicated to Salento pittule. In the town center, amidst the Christmas atmosphere, the Pro Loco offered traditional freshly fried leavened dough balls, served plain or stuffed with cauliflower, herring, and in a pizzaiola version. The evening was enlivened by Christmas markets and Salento folk music, in a convivial and family-friendly atmosphere.

La Pittulata 2025

The 2025 edition of the Pittula Festival took place in Tiggiano, in the lower Salento area of the Lecce province, during the Christmas season. True to tradition, the festival offered hot pittule in their many variations, along with other winter Salento flavors such as pepper stew, chicory, and local wine.

Among the stalls of the Christmas markets and the notes of Salento folk music, residents and visitors shared an evening dedicated to genuine flavors and the traditions of the Capo di Leuca, confirming La Pittulata as one of the most cherished gastronomic events in Tiggiano's winter calendar.
