Christmas Eve 2025 in Specchia

The 2025 edition of the Pittula and Focareddha Festival took place on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Piazza del Popolo, Specchia. At 6:00 PM, the Pro Loco, in collaboration with the municipality, lit the focareddha, the characteristic bonfire of branches and wood which, according to popular tradition, warms the newborn Jesus.

While awaiting Midnight Mass, the stands offered pittule in various varieties, along with olive-stuffed pucce and local wine, in an atmosphere of shared celebration for young and old. In the preceding days, December 22, 23, and 24, the historic center also hosted the Christmas market between Via Matteotti and Piazza degli Artisti.
