Edition 2025 — Sweet Chestnut Flour Festival

The 2025 edition of the Sweet Chestnut Flour Festival was held on Monday, April 21, Easter Monday, in the village of Piteglio (San Marcello Piteglio, PT). From 12:00 PM, a rustic lunch featured sausage sandwiches, necci, sweet fritters, castagnaccio, and sweet polenta, while tastings of Slow Food Presidium raw milk pecorino, cheeses, ricotta, honey, and jams were available along the streets. From 4:00 PM, the 8th-century Church of Santa Maria Assunta and the bell tower were open to the public.

2025 Edition

The 2025 Sweet Chestnut Flour Festival took place on Monday, April 21, Easter Monday, in Piteglio (San Marcello Piteglio, PT). From 12:00 PM, a rustic lunch was served with sausage sandwiches, necci, sweet fritters, castagnaccio, and sweet polenta.

Throughout the village streets, visitors could taste raw milk pecorino from the Pistoia Mountains (Slow Food Presidium), goat and cow cheeses, ricotta, honey, jams, yogurt, and liqueurs, accompanied by craft stalls. From 4:00 PM, the ancient Church dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and the bell tower were opened to the public. Festival points were set up between Aia Grande, Piazza Fratelli Guermani, and the Casa della Musica.
