Pisterzo Fig Festival

The 2025 Fig Festival was held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in the historic center of Pisterzo, a hamlet of the Municipality of Prossedi, in the province of Latina, confirming its role as the opening event of the Pisterzo Summer.

How it went

The day opened with the blessing and distribution of figs, the ritual that marks the start of the festival every year. The food stalls managed by the Pro Loco of Pisterzo then went into operation, featuring fig-based pasta dishes, the classic pizza with prosciutto and figs, ice cream, and fig jam tart, accompanied by typical local products.

The evening

The musical moment was entrusted to the group La Sporca Cinquina, which enlivened the square with live music and dancing until late in the evening. The turnout brought visitors to the village from the Pontine province, Ciociaria, and Rome, and the local press commented on the edition as a success.
