Pirandello Week

The 36th edition, the great return

After an eighteen-year absence, in 2025 Pirandello Week returned to Agrigento with three evenings at the Teatro dell'Efebo, all starting at 9:00 PM. The festival, promoted by the Libero Consorzio Comunale di Agrigento and the Associazione Nuovo Piccolo Teatro, was a great success with the public.

The three performances

• 16 August — Notturno pirandelliano, a theatrical diptych with Corrado Tedeschi and Debora Caprioglio, directed by Francesco Bellomo and Antonella Lo Bianco.
• 23 August — All'ombra del Caos, a dance-theatre performance inspired by Pirandello, directed by Orazio Torrisi.
• 30 August — Pirandellian Grand Gala with Quadri di Liolà, featuring acting and music with Mario Incudine, Moni Ovadia, Paride Benassai, Stefania Blandeburgo, and the Coro di Argante.

The Premio Kaos Pippo Montalbano

During the closing night, the 18th edition of the Premio Kaos Pippo Montalbano was awarded to eight recipients, including Mario Incudine and, posthumously, Silvana Lo Giudice.

16 August — Notturno pirandelliano

• 9:00 PM — Theatrical diptych based on Luigi Pirandello with Corrado Tedeschi and Debora Caprioglio. Directed by Francesco Bellomo and Antonella Lo Bianco.

23 August — All'ombra del Caos

• 9:00 PM — Dance-theatre performance inspired by Pirandello's work, directed by Orazio Torrisi.

30 August — Pirandellian Grand Gala: Quadri di Liolà

• 9:00 PM — Performance blending prose and music with Mario Incudine, Moni Ovadia, Paride Benassai, Stefania Blandeburgo, Lorenza Denaro, and the Coro di Argante. Live music by Pino Ricosta, Manfredi Tumminello, and Antonio Vasta.
• During the evening, the 18th edition of the Premio Kaos Pippo Montalbano was presented.
