Edition 2025 — Pineto Pianeta Mare
In the summer of 2025, the event Pineto Pianeta Mare had not yet taken place under this name: the project was officially born in 2026, promoted by the Gruppo Spatangus with the patronage of the Municipality of Pineto and included in the Adriatic Open Water Circuit.
The passion for open-water swimming on the coast of Pineto, in the province of Teramo, is rooted in the long experience of the Gruppo Spatangus, the association that has enlivened the Abruzzo coast since 2008 with the historic City of Pineto Swimming Trophy, which over the years has attracted Italian and foreign athletes. From that tradition, and from the same philosophy of sport, community, and solidarity, Pineto Pianeta Mare was born, bringing the sea of Pineto to the center of a new season of open-water races.
