The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Madonna di Dinnammare took place from August 3rd to 5th. On the night between August 3rd and 4th, the procession departed from Larderia around 1:00 AM, with hundreds of devotees carrying the sacred image along the Peloritani trails to the sanctuary at 1,127 meters, reached at dawn. On August 4th, the miraculous painting, recently restored by Carmelo Geraci, was exhibited to the public for the first time following the conservation work, with Holy Masses celebrated every hour throughout the day.

The 2025 Dinnammare Feast

The 2025 edition confirmed the vitality of one of the most beloved traditions of Larderia, a district of Messina. On the night between August 3rd and 4th, the pilgrimage departed around 1:00 AM from the Larderia parish, with a crowd of devotees of all ages engaged in the long nocturnal climb toward the summit of the Peloritani Mountains, reached at dawn.

A special feature of the year was the exhibition of the painting of the Virgin and Child, recently restored by master Carmelo Geraci, shown publicly for the first time after the conservation work. The solemn celebration on August 5th was presided over by Monsignor Santi Rocco Gangemi with the 11:30 AM Eucharist; in the afternoon, the return procession was accompanied by the "Madonna di Dinnamare" band directed by Andrea Grioli, and the day concluded with a fireworks display by Giovanni Arigò around 11:45 PM.
